I originally chose the tipi design for it's economic readiness as studio space. Since its completion in 2005, I have come to love this space for its spiritual aspect. Today I have no desire to shift to four walls and a ceiling. The availability of electricity & water makes working less primitive. My studio partner, Wendy Holcomb, and I worked together to create this space, everything from sanding and treating the poles to shoveling half-a-ton of rock onto the floor. We built our own slab roller as well as wedging table and we recycled tables, a sink, and other cool stuff to complete our studio. For more tipi journey click here. |
